Bellman evening "Troubadour\'s heaven"

Carl Michael Bellman lived in Stockholm in the 18th century. He was a gourmet and bon viveur fond of all forms of enjoyment and indulgence. Bellman was also a great poet and composer whose repertoire ranged from bawdy slang to pastoral natural poetry.
Bellman’s first poems were published when he was 17. He quickly became the most popular songwriter of his time. Many of his songs live on today, such as ‘Gubben Noak’ (‘Old Man Noah’).
We have prepared an evening of food, drink and activity in the spirit of Bellman and life in 18th century Stockholm. The evening begins with a drink together, which is a suitable moment for the evening’s host to say a few words and welcome the guests.
The programme continues with dinner, during which live period background music is performed. The entertaining evening culminates in a musical theatre performance consisting of Bellman’s work, which also tells the story of Bellman’s life. \\\'In a tavern in Stockholm the fire of love rages, death reaps its harvest, Bacchus, the god of wine, is praised and as inebriation advances in the small hours remorse finally prevails. Skål på den saken!\\\'

Price: Bellman dinner € 41.50 per person, Bellman performance € 950. Duration approx. 50 minutes. Additional price for performance partly in English € 50. Prices include VAT.
